Winter weather travel advisory beginning tonight.

Local snowfall amounts of 7 to 15 cm by Monday morning.
Snow, heavy at times, could significantly reduce visibility.

Tonight into Monday morning.

Lake effect snow is expected to develop off of Lake Superior later this evening and continue into Monday morning. Isolated and more intense snow squalls may be embedded within a larger swath of lake effect snow.

This lake effect snow is expected to impact the area for the remainder of the week with brief breaks in this snow expected. Areas that will be affected will be determined by the wind direction off of Lake Superior.


Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
