Patchy frost is expected tonight as temperatures are forecast to dip to close to the freezing mark under clear skies.
Temperatures will rise quickly above freezing after sunrise Monday morning, however patchy frost is expected for some areas east of Lake Superior Monday night again.
Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
