Freezing rain expected Saturday morning.
A period of freezing rain leading to ice build up.
Ice accretion up to 5 mm possible.
Saturday morning into early afternoon.
Freezing rain is forecast to begin Saturday morning and will likely last for a few hours before transitioning over to rain Saturday afternoon as temperatures rise above zero. A few millimetres of ice accretion will be possible.
In addition to the potential for freezing rain, strong winds gusting up to 70 or 80 km/h are also expected Saturday morning into Saturday evening. The combination of strong winds and ice build up may lead to local power outages.
Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.
