Special Weather Statement

Issued at 22:33 Tuesday 25 February 2020

Significant snowfall expected Wednesday night into Thursday.

Snow is expected to begin Wednesday night or early Thursday morning before becoming heavy later Thursday morning. Snow is expected to taper to flurries Thursday evening or overnight.

Snowfall accumulations near 15 cm are possible by Thursday night with the highest amounts expected near the Quebec border. Snowfall warnings may be required.

Motorists should be prepared for poor winter driving conditions due to low visibilities in heavy snow and quickly accumulating snow.

This snow is the result of a low pressure system from the central United States that is forecast to track over Eastern Ontario Wednesday night.
