Snow Squall Warning

Snow squalls tonight through Saturday morning.

What:
Snow squalls. Reduced visibilities in heavy snow with local amounts of 10 to 15 cm. Some areas may approach 20 cm, especially over higher terrain.

Where:
Areas south of Georgian Bay. The heaviest snowfall amounts are expected to remain west of Barrie.

When:
8 P.M. tonight until noon Saturday.

Discussion:
Snow squalls will develop off Georgian Bay this evening and weaken around the noon hour on Saturday. The axis of the snow squalls will set up west of Highway 400, however, periods of heavy snow will be possible on Highway 400 south of Barrie, particularly Saturday morning.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Road closures are possible.
