Humidex values reaching 37 are expected for the next 3 days.
First heat event of the season continues through Thursday.
High daytime temperatures in the low thirties are expected this afternoon and temperatures are forecast to be similar on Thursday. Humidex values in the mid to upper thirties are also expected.
A cold front will bring a few showers and lower temperatures to Eastern Ontario on Friday.
Extreme heat affects everyone.
The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
