Unyielding heat and storm potential stays put on the Prairies
Significant rainfall possible Wednesday.
Rainfall amounts: potentially exceeding 50 mm locally.
Locations: mainland Nova Scotia.
Time span: early Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening.
Remarks: An area of low pressure will spread rain into the region early Wednesday morning. The rain is expected to become intermittent near noon with locally heavy downpours and embedded thundershowers continuing into Wednesday evening.
Weather systems of this nature can cause a significant amount of rain to fall in a short period of time leading to localized flooding and sharp reductions to visibility.
