Time span: overnight tonight and into Thursday morning.
Remarks: Strong south winds ahead of an intense front will develop over the western portion of the province overnight tonight reaching Cape Breton by Thursday morning. Winds will diminish from west to east across the province Thursday.
High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
