Rain, at times heavy, continues.
Additional rainfall amounts: 30 to 50 mm, locally 70 mm in heaviest rain bands.
Locations: western Nova Scotia and the north shore of the Minas Basin.
Time span: tonight through Wednesday morning.
Remarks: Heavy rain will continue tonight. Over southwestern Nova Scotia, 25 to 40 mm has already fallen. The highest rainfall amounts are expected in the southwest where amounts could reach upwards of 70 mm by Wednesday morning.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
