Total snowfall: 10 to 15 cm for St. John's and vicinity and Avalon Peninsula Southeast, 5 to 10 cm for Avalon Peninsula North and Avalon Peninsula Southwest.

Maximum wind gusts: 60 km/h except 80 km/h near Cape Race.

Locations: Avalon Peninsula.

Time span: overnight tonight until Sunday afternoon.

Remarks: A low pressure system will track southeast of the Avalon Peninsula on Sunday. Snow will spread across the Avalon Peninsula by early Sunday morning along with moderate east to northeasterly winds giving blowing snow over exposed areas. Conditions will improve Sunday afternoon.

A slight shift in the track of the storm could have a significant impact on the forecast snowfall amounts.
