Total snowfall: 15 to 25 cm, with higher amounts possible over northernmost sections.
Maximum wind gusts: northwesterly 50 km/h, with higher local gusts over the Canada Bay area.
Locations: Port Saunders and the Straits, Northern Peninsula East.
Time span: continuing until Saturday morning.
Remarks: Snow at times heavy will continue today over the Great Northern Peninsula, lasting until Saturday morning. Strong winds will develop on this morning, causing reduced visibility in blowing snow over exposed areas. The highest snowfall rates are expected to occur this afternoon and into the overnight hours.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
