Enhanced squall-like flurries and blowing snow expected Thursday afternoon and evening.
Total snowfall: generally 5 cm with some areas potentially exceeding 10 cm.
Maximum wind gust: westerly up to 80 km/h
Time Span: from Thursday afternoon to Thursday evening.
Locations: western Newfoundland.
Remarks: A trough of low pressure will track across Newfoundland on Thursday afternoon and evening. As the trough passes, it will enhance the already occurring flurries and local snow squalls along the west coast. There will be a brief but intense period of snow with poor visibilities in snow and blowing snow, especially during the Thursday evening commute.
