Moisture-fed low blasts the Maritimes with downpours, strong winds

Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
Maximum gusts: 80 km/h, except locally 100 to 110 km/h in areas prone to enhanced southeasterlies.
Locations: western Newfoundland.
Time span: overnight tonight until midday Tuesday.
Remarks: local enhancement in southeasterly flow typically occurs in the vicinities of Cape St. George, Port au Port Bay and the outer Bay of Islands.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
