Significant rainfall and strong winds are expected.
Total rainfall: 20 to 40 mm. Higher amounts possible over the Long Range Mountains.
Maximum wind gusts: 80 km/h, except locally 110 in areas prone to enhanced southeasterlies.
Locations: western Newfoundland.
Time span: Saturday evening until Sunday morning.
Remarks: After a brief period of snow or freezing rain Saturday evening, rain at times heavy will follow for the remainder of the night until tapering to showers Sunday morning. Strong southeasterly winds and very mild temperatures will accompany the rain, leading to significant snow melt and run off.
