Humidex values reaching 35 are expected for the next 4 days.
An extended period of very warm and humid weather is expected.
Time span: today through Thursday..
Maximum daytime temperatures: 30 to 32 degrees Celsius (Humidex near 35 to 40), except cooler along the Fundy coast.
Minimum overnight temperatures: 18 degrees Celsius.
Location: New Brunswick
Remarks: A combination of very warm temperatures and elevated humidity will create very high humidex values over the next several days. Temperatures are forecast to turn cooler over all areas on Thursday and Friday.
The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
