Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
SIgnificant freezing rain today.
Location: central and northern New Brunswick.
Timing: until this afternoon or this evening.
Remarks: Freezing rain over western regions will spread to eastern regions by early this afternoon. The freezing rain is forecast to change to rain south of a line from Grand Falls to Renous and then northeast to the Acadian Peninsula. North of this line, the freezing rain will change to snow later today.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
