Rain and wind today.
An intense low pressure system over New England will approach the Maritimes today and cross the region on Friday.
A band of strong easterly winds gusting to 70 or 80 km/h and rain will continue to spread across New Brunswick today. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 35 millimetres are forecast.
Over eastern and southern areas of the province, wind warnings have been issued for easterly winds gusting up to 90 km/h.
Winds will diminish by this evening and become southerly.
