Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
A band of very strong easterly winds will continue to spread across New Brunswick today. Over areas near the coast, these winds are forecast to gust to 90 km/h.
Winds will diminish by this afternoon over southern regions and late this evening in the Bay of Chaleur region.
Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
