Ample Pacific moisture flows into B.C., may yield 100+ mm of rain

Significant rainfall is possible.
Total rainfall: 30-40 mm. Locally above 50 mm.
Locations: northwestern New Brunswick, including Grand Falls.
Time span: Heaviest rain will fall on Sunday.
Remarks: A slow moving elongated trough will stall over New Brunswick this weekend, bringing heavy rain to northern sections of the province. A widespread 30-40 mm is expected. Some areas, especially near the Quebec border, could see upwards of 50 mm by Monday morning. There is also a risk of thundershowers which could enhance totals further in a few locations.
Rain will begin Sunday morning with the heaviest rain expected Sunday afternoon before tapering off to showers and drizzle Sunday evening. Rainfall warnings may be required as this system draws nearer.
