Snowfall WarningIssued at 20:38 Saturday 10 April 2021
The first of a pair of low pressure systems will begin affecting southern Saskatchewan tonight bringing significant precipitation to the northeastern grainbelt. Most areas will see a period of rain overnight or Sunday morning. However, heavy snow with very poor visibilities will occur through most of the day Sunday. Snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cms is expected. The snow will taper off Sunday night.
A second system centred by the Great Lakes will bring waves of additional snowfall into the province later Monday and Tuesday as well. At this time, much of the northern grainbelt may receive an additional 10 cm of snow through the end of Tuesday.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
