Special Weather Statement

Issued at 08:22 Wednesday 26 February 2020

Significant snowfall expected tonight into Thursday.

Snow is expected to begin this evening. The heaviest snow is most likely overnight into Thursday morning.

Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected by Thursday afternoon.

Though snowfall amounts are not forecast to reach warning criteria, low visibilities in heavy snow are likely to create hazardous travel conditions.

Northwesterly winds will also combine with the snow to create blowing and drifting snow over exposed areas.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
