Issued at 04:48 Thursday 27 February 2020

Snowfall with total amounts of 20 to 30 cm is expected.

Total Snowfall: 15 to 30 cm, except less than 15 along parts of the Fundy coast.

Locations: all of New Brunswick except the northeast, where a winter storm warning is in effect.

Time span: this afternoon and tonight.

Remarks: Snow, heavy at times, will spread across New Brunswick from southwest to northeast beginning near noon in the southwest and this afternoon elsewhere. Strong north to northeast winds will give occasional blowing snow late this afternoon and this evening. Over southern parts of the province, the snow is expected to mix with or change to ice pellets this evening. Extreme southern regions could see a brief rain-snow mix after midnight. All precipitation will taper to flurries by Friday morning.

###

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
