Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.
An approaching low pressure system west of Vancouver Island this morning will track northwards to lie over Haida Gwaii this evening.
Ahead of the low, southeast winds of 90 km/h gusting to 110 will develop this afternoon over North Vancouver Island, Central Coast Coastal Sections and Haida Gwaii, then spread to North Coast Coastal section in the evening.
Winds will ease later this evening as the low moves north into the Alaskan Panhandle.
High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
