Special Air Quality Statement

The BC Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy has continued air quality advisories on September 29, 2022, for:

B.C. North Peace River including the City of Fort St John and all communities along Hwy 97 extending from Farmington to Pink Mountain; Hwy 29 including Moberly Lake, Hudson’s Hope; also includes Rolla, Clayhurst and Goodlow.

Fraser Canyon (South) Trans Canada Hwy 1 from Lytton to Choate.

Kootenay Lake including Creston and Kaslo.

Nicola Including Merritt, Strump Lake, Pennask Lake, and Brookmere.

Similkameen including Princeton.

South Okanagan including Penticton, Summerland, Naramata, Keremeos, Oliver and Osoyoos.

These regions are being impacted or are likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke over the next 24-48 hours.
