Strong winds that may cause damage are expected on Sunday and Monday.
Location: West Vancouver Island.
Hazards: Southeast winds 80 km/h gusting to 100 km/h.
Timespan: Sunday afternoon through to midday Monday.
Remarks: Strong southeasterly winds will develop ahead of an intense low pressure system approaching West Vancouver Island on Sunday and Monday. Winds will strengthen on Sunday and reaching 80 km/h gusting to 100 in the afternoon. Strong winds will persist through Sunday night and start to ease near noon on Monday.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
