Daytime high temperatures ranging from 29 to 32 degrees Celsius combined with overnight lows of 16 to 20 degrees Celsius are expected.
These high temperatures are forecast to persist through the week in some regions of southern Alberta, while areas in northern Alberta will moderate tonight.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
