The Flood Warning continues for
The Sugar River At Brodhead.
* At 1:15 PM Friday the stage was 5.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 8.4 feet by early
Monday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Thursday
morning.
* Impact...At 8.0 feet...Floodwaters are over Highway T in Rock
County, and there is flooding in Sugar River Park in the Avon
Bottoms area of Rock County. There is widespread agricultural and
lowland flooding in the Brodhead area.

Flash Flood Watch

Summary

Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected to affect southern
Wisconsin late Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. Between
1 and 3 inches of rainfall is expected, with locally heavier
amounts possible. This rain, coupled with the already saturated
ground, could result in flash flooding across far southern and
southwest Wisconsin.
The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of south central Wisconsin and southeast Wisconsin,
including the following areas, in south central Wisconsin,
Columbia, Dane, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, Rock, and Sauk. In
southeast Wisconsin, Dodge, Jefferson, Kenosha, Milwaukee,
Racine, Walworth, and Waukesha.

* Through Saturday morning

* Heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
possible.

* Impacts could include flooded roads and intersections, river
flooding, and possible rock and mud slides in hilly terrain.

Summary

At 613 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were clustered near Footville, or
near Janesville, moving east at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Janesville, Beloit, Delavan, Clinton, Sharon, Darien, Footville,
Tiffany, Hanover, Allens Grove, Avalon, Afton, Shopiere, Emerald
Grove, Johnstown Center and Delavan Lake.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
south central and southeastern Wisconsin.
