Freezing Rain WarningIssued at 04:30 Monday 27 March 2017
Freezing rain is expected or occurring.
As temperatures are stubbornly remaining near or slightly below the zero degree mark early this morning, areas of freezing rain continue to affect the region.
Periods of freezing rain will finally change over to rain later this morning as a warm front moves through and temperatures rise to well above the zero degree mark.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
