Freezing Rain WarningIssued at 02:19 Sunday 19 November 2017
An area of freezing rain extends from south of Outaouais toward the Mauricie to the Beauce region. This area will move into the regions further north, toward Québec and Charlevoix tonight and then move over several regions of the Gaspe Peninsula Sunday morning.
Amounts of freezing precipitation will vary between 5 and 15 millimetres north of the St Lawrence River while they will range from 1 to 4 mm over regions south of the river.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
