Winter Storm WarningIssued at 15:10 Monday 11 December 2017
A winter storm developing over the Great Lakes will affect central and eastern Quebec beginning Tuesday morning. Between 20 and 40 centimetres of snow can be expected by Wednesday accompanied with strong to severe winds, and blowing snow.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. Road closures are possible.
Winter storm warnings are issued when multiple types of severe winter weather are expected to occur together.
