Storm Surge Warning

Issued at 23:24 Sunday 28 May 2017

Higher than normal water levels with large waves are expected near the coast.

Coastal flood warning issued jointly by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (Science) and the Meteorological Service of Canada - Quebec region, on 2017-05-28 at 3:30 pm EDT.

An intense low pressure system from the Prairies will generate strong northeasterlies over the above mentioned regions. The combination of strong winds and the fact that we are currently in a period of high tidal range could produce coastal flooding along the coast near theses localities, on the dates and at the times specified (Eastern Daylight Time).

Quebec City: 2017-05-29, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.
