Special Weather Statement

Issued at 15:05 Sunday 18 February 2018

From Monday to Wednesday, Southern Quebec will see a significant warming trend accompanied by significant rainfall amounts.

A warm front from the Central United States will move over the province on Monday. As a result, southerly winds will bring a mild air mass with temperatures generally between 5 and 12 degrees until Wednesday.

Rainfall amounts between 20 and 30 millimetres are expected from Monday evening through Wednesday. The rain combined with the runoff from the melting of snow could cause localized flooding.

Visibilities may occasionally be reduced in mist or fog.

The rain may change to freezing rain in Quebec City on Tuesday.
