Special Weather StatementIssued at 15:21 Friday 17 November 2017
A strong low pressure system from Southern United States will affect the province of Quebec beginning on Saturday.
Regions near and south of the St Lawrence River could see some snow followed by a more or less extended period of freezing rain before the changeover to rain.
The low will then move northeastward on Sunday resulting in a mix of rain and snow over Eastern Quebec.
Rainfall amounts could be significant over several areas of the Gaspé Peninsula.
The track of this system becomes clearer, but still remains uncertain. The type and amounts of precipitations will be highly variable depending on the track of the low.
Road conditions could be difficult during the weekend. Adjust your travel plans accordingly.
