Special Weather Statement

Issued at 15:29 Sunday 22 January 2017

A return to snowy weather on Tuesday.

A Colorado low will affect Quebec on Tuesday. Snow, at times heavy, is expected to begin gradually on Tuesday morning in Southwestern Quebec. The snow will then move into the central and eastern parts of the province on Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres are likely. Higher elevations could receive greater amounts.

Strong winds and blowing snow are also expected in a number of regions, mainly along the St. Lawrence River, in the Gaspé and on the North Shore.

The poor weather conditions could lead to transportation delays.
