An intense low pressure system will approach the island on Tuesday. Precipitation from this storm will likely begin late Tuesday as snow and ice pellets with a risk of an extended period of freezing rain before finally changing over to rain. Rain will likely continue into Wednesday. Strong winds could also be a significant factor with this storm.
Total precipitation amounts are difficult to pinpoint at this time but rainfall totals could be significant.
