Summary

Higher than normal water levels with large waves are expected near the coast.

Warning of potential breaking sea conditions and overwash issued jointly by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (Science) and the Meteorological Service of Canada - Quebec region on 2017-11-18 at 05:00 AM EST.

An intense low pressure system from the Southern United States will cause strong winds over the above-mentioned areas. The combination of strong winds and the fact that we are currently in a period of high tidal range might produce breaking sea conditions along the coastline near theses localities, at the dates and hours specified (eastern daylight time).

Forillon Park - Gaspé - Percé: 2017-11-19, from 11:30 AM to 03:30 PM.

New-Carlisle - Chandler: 2017-11-19, from 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM.

Sept-Îles - Port-Cartier: 2017-11-19, from 11:30 AM to 03:30 PM.

The Gaspe Peninsula areas could see a more or less extended period of freezing rain before precipitation change to rain Sunday morning. Rainfall amounts could be important.

Road conditions could be poor on Sunday. Adjust your travel plans accordingly.
