Significant snowfall likely beginning Monday night and continuing Tuesday.
A strong and moisture laden low pressure area is forecast to move northeast near the EAstern Seaboard of the United States Monday night and Tuesday. This storm track is close enough to Eastern Ontario for a significant snowfall to be an issue Monday night and Tuesday.
Latest indications suggests that snow, possibly heavy at times, will arrive Monday night and continue Tuesday. The snow may be mixed with ice pellets. Snow and ice pellet amounts up to 15 centimetres are expected by the time it winds down Tuesday night.
Snowfall warnings may be required for Eastern Ontario as the snowfall forecast becomes more certain.
Travellers should be aware of accumulating snow and low visibility in snow Monday night and Tuesday.
