Frost AdvisoryIssued at 05:06 Monday 21 May 2018
Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost.
Clear skies and light winds have allowed temperatures to drop to near zero degrees overnight. This has resulted in the formation of patchy frost. Temperatures will rise above zero early this morning, bringing the frost to an end.
Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
