Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected or occurring.
Significant freezing rain and ice pellets continuing today.
Precipitation associated with a spring storm will continue today, bringing freezing rain at times mixed with ice pellets or snow. The threat of freezing rain is expected to diminish late this afternoon, with ice pellets and snow continuing tonight. The threat of freezing rain will return Thursday morning and afternoon.
Periods of moderate freezing rain are likely today resulting in significant ice accretion of 5 to 10 mm. In addition, 10 to 15 cm of ice pellets and snow is forecast over duration of the storm, which will come to an end Thursday evening.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Utility outages may occur.
