Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
Showers and thunderstorms will continue to affect Essex County through the night and into Thursday. Rainfall amounts of 45 to 70 mm are expected in many locales, with the heaviest rain likely to fall tonight.
The rain is being produced by a slow moving low pressure system over the Ohio Valley.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
