Special Weather Statement

Issued at 17:00 Sunday 04 December 2016

A snowfall over inland sections of the GTA tonight, but ending early Monday.

Snow is expected to develop over the GTA late this evening. The snow will be mixed with rain near the lake, preventing any accumulation from occurring. However, accumulations of 5 cm are expected across the northern suburbs with temperatures falling just below the freezing mark.

Slippery conditions may occur on untreated surfaces later this evening and overnight, and visibilities may be reduced at times.

The precipitation is expected to taper off prior to Monday morning commute, with temperatures rising above the freezing mark in all areas.
