Freezing Rain Warning

A long-lasting period of freezing rain resulting in ice accumulation is expected today.

Freezing rain is expected to move in from the south this morning and persist for much of the day. Temperatures will slowly rise through the day which will change the freezing rain over to rain late this afternoon or this evening.

Motorists should be prepared for hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Utility outages may occur.
