Special Weather Statement

Issued at 15:43 Saturday 10 December 2016

A total 10 to 15 cm of snow beginning late Sunday morning or early Sunday afternoon, and ending Monday morning.

A low pressure system brewing in Colorado is expected to track towards the central Great Lakes later this weekend and impact the Golden Horseshoe Sunday and Sunday night. Current information suggests the precipitation will fall primarily as snow, but with a possibility of changing over to rain early Monday morning, particularly near the shores of Lake Ontario.

The timing of this snowfall will likely have an impact on the Monday morning commute.

Environment Canada will continue to monitor the track of this low and snowfall amounts.
