Special Weather Statement

Issued at 14:57 Thursday 29 September 2016

Significant rainfall continues.

Intermittent showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to affect Chatham-Kent today, tonight, and into Friday. The showers may be heavy at times.

Additional rainfall amounts of 30 to 60 mm are forecast by Friday evening for much of the region.

The area is being monitored for a potential rainfall warning.

Caution is advised over the next few days due to ponding of water on roads, and potentially fast flowing creeks.

The rain is being produced by a slow moving low pressure system over the Ohio Valley.
