Alerts in Effect
Special Weather StatementIssued at 04:48 Thursday 30 March 2017
March will end on a wintery note.
A low pressure system over Missouri will track towards Southern Ontario in the next couple of days.
Snow is expected to spread into the area Thursday night and continue Friday, although it may become mixed with or change to freezing rain or rain in some locales. The snow will begin to taper off Friday night, but not before 5 to 10 centimetres is likely in many areas. There may be some regions which receive somewhat higher amounts.
At this time, it does not seem likely that snowfall warnings will be
required. However some uncertainty remains, and the evolution of
this weather system continues to be monitored closely.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
