At 8:50 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
A severe thunderstorm affecting areas extending from Elora and Fergus to Grand Valley is tracking slowly southeastward.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.
