A low pressure system approaching from the Maritimes on Monday will move to lie near the Burin Peninsula Tuesday morning. Snow will develop Monday afternoon or evening and persist over most areas on Tuesday. Total snowfall amounts 10 to 15 cm or more can be expected. In addition moderate to strong southeasterly winds will accompany the snow giving reduced visibility in blowing snow mainly over exposed areas. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the South Coast.
