Special Weather Statement

Issued at 15:59 Wednesday 01 March 2017

Temperatures are forecast to rise above zero overnight tonight. The mild temperatures combined with rain and snowmelt will cause pooling of water. On Thursday morning, strong northerly winds will cause temperatures to fall below zero once again. A second weather system will bring ice pellets, snow or freezing rain on Thursday afternoon. At this time, the freezing precipitation is forecast to be light. However, pre-existing water built up may lead to very icy conditions.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
