Special Weather Statement

Issued at 10:47 Friday 26 May 2017

Higher than normal water levels are expected at high tide tonight and early Saturday morning.

A slow moving low pressure system will track across Nova Scotia tonight. The approach and passage of this system will coincide with the highest spring tides of the year and will combine to give elevated coastal water levels. A storm surge warning may yet be required.

Additionally for areas along the Fundy coast, rainfall amounts of 35 to 45 millimetres are expected with this low pressure system. There is a possibility that a rainfall warning may be required depending on how the situation evolves.
