Fog AdvisoryIssued at 22:14 Sunday 22 January 2017
Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.
Widespread dense fog continues tonight for the southeast corner of the province, courtesy of a weak trough of low pressure in the area. Motorists including those travelling along the Trans-Canada Highway should be prepared to encounter areas of near-zero visibility tonight through Monday morning.
Light westerly winds have generally lifted the fog across the Red River Valley, and the fog advisory has been ended there. Localized and patchy fog is still possible through the night or Monday morning across most of southern Manitoba.
Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.
